Hello Stellaria performers! I have two great contracts coming up: Roaring Camp's NYE Holiday Lights Train the week before New Year's, and a traveling circus retreat event in the springtime. Both gigs are paid. The train gig is for dancers/atmo, non-aerial, and the springtime tour is for all types of performers. The client is looking for a core group of 6 - 10 performers who are willing to travel with us. Ever dreamed about running away with the circus?? This might be your chance!! Any takers?

Hi team. It's been a while! I hope everyone is safe and healthy 🙂 We'll be filling a few roles at California's Great America again this year during their Halloween season, and so I wanted to see if any of you might be interested. The client has specifically asked for comedic performers, like those with improv experience, game show host-types (we can think of this as ringleaders) as well as dancers. He specified needing a minimum of 5 performers, but said he'd love to cast more. Those "understudies" that he's looking to cast can use special talents or skills if not asked to fill said roles above, and still perform during the event. Clearly, this is a paid opportunity and will be a long-term gig from roughly mid-September through the last weekend of October. Usually, there's two weeks of rehearsals and then about a month of performing. All during the evening. Lastly, this year is much more family-friendly than when I performed there in 2019, for example. It's called "Tricks and Treats" and is catering to all facets of Halloween; the kids, candy, autumn, spookiness, etc. I think that's it for now. If you're interested and feel like you'd be a good fit, please let me know via comment, DM, email or text (lol, many ways to get ahold of me!). Thanks so much!!

(Same post from FB, so if you've seen and responded to it there, feel free to disregard): Hello everyone! I've got some pretty great gigs coming up🙃: On December 11, I need a second aerialist fluent in cube and crescent moon for a gig in San Francisco. We'll be taking turns performing ambient, and the pay will be around $750 for two or three ambient sets (I'll have the specific pay in the next day or so). Starting on December 26 or 27 (they're still deciding) and going through New Year's Eve, Roaring Camp is launching their New Year's Eve lights train again, and they've asked us back. In 2019, we had three dancers with LEDs in their costumes entertain train passengers, and it was a hit. Very easy and fun. The pay is going to be a few hundred dollars each (finalizing this week). On March 5, Monte Vista school has asked us back for their annual Bravo fundraiser event. We performed for them in February 2020, and it went so well that they asked us to stay longer and paid us twice as much! Professional pay for this one, and I'll be able to lay out the details soon, just checking to see who's interested and available. Memorial Day weekend (Friday - Monday) Roaring Camp is hosting a family-friendly circus event and wants us to do intermittent 20-30 minute shows, roaming performers and a dinner theatre experience on Saturday and Sunday nights. This will likely be an all-hands-on-deck event where I'll ask you if you have a cousin who can even do circus, lol. Professional pay for this (finalizing this week). Any takers? Stay tuned: End of summer will be the official Wild Maroon show performance; Pivot Fashion event in September or October; and we're slated to perform a show involving the Roaring Camp train during Halloween (think mock train robbery!). Please let me know if any of you are available and interested in any of this. Thank you!!!

Hi team. I'm working on putting together the lineup for Erin's show. First, I'd like to confirm that everybody who is interested in performing is available on Saturday, June 5th. We booked the Loudon Nelson Center on the lawn, a location that Erin frequented with Stellaria for rehearsals and performances. If you are not available on that day, or for whatever reason feel uneasy about attending in person, but you'd still like to contribute, please let me know and we will try and arrange a pre-recorded video. We're not trying to make this a large event with an audience, but rather a Facebook live opportunity that may reach multiple communities that Erin was a part of. Here's what I've got for the lineup: (Kristin as Emcee/host) DeJon - aerial hoop (?) Ruby - lollipop and small duet with Caitlin on silks/lollipop/hoop (not all, but one) @Caitlin Lackey- small duet with Ruby on silks/lollipop/hoop and tie-dyed silks @Callie Lynn - dance Lauren - crescent moon @Meredith Cabezas- aerial hoop Molly - hoop @Jeanette Bent- aerial dance rope This lineup does not need to be hard and fast, we definitely have leeway. I was just trying to make it flow with each of our apparatus choice and such. I just hope I get through Erin's aerial dance rope piece without crying; that was her baby. Anyway, please let me know if all of this sounds okay with you guys. As of now I don't have a specific location that we can rehearse together, but if I come across something I will certainly let you all know. In the meantime, if anyone wants to borrow any piece of equipment that I have, you are absolutely welcome to it. Thank you all so much. It will be bittersweet to see and perform with everyone again under these circumstances 💗 Love, Jeanette

Hi team! Because it feels really soon, I decided to hold off on this year's Dance in Unlikely Places, and instead, do our large, over-the-top Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk parade/site-specific performance for next year. We can begin rehearsals for this in the fall. I believe I will have some more opportunities coming up throughout the year, so stay tuned! Let me know if you have any questions 😎 Thanks!!

So thrilled to announce casting for a handful of upcoming gigs!! I just got word today that we're probably going forward with this one and it's SOON, so I wanted to see who's interested/available: Dance in Unlikely Places (for National Dance Week) - this gig is not 100% confirmed yet but it's looking VERY promising. I've pitched Friday, April 30 at 4 and/or 6 pm as the day and time for a parade-like, site-specific performance that starts at the Pirate Ship at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, and ends at the Cave Train. Worst case scenario is that we can't get the necessary permits to do this, and have to move the show somewhere else, perhaps downtown Santa Cruz (if this is the case, we will go with a different theme other than pirates). For the show I will need: Two or three pirates and two mermaids (who will also be wenches in a different location of the performance). Think of this show more like a parkour or site-specific dance rather than an aerial show. Acrobatic, dance, and/or aerial skills are a must. There will be minimal speaking/acting. The pay per performance is $100 (if we do two shows), $200 for the day. I also need a volunteer crowd wrangler if anyone knows anyone who might be interested in this. Interested/available? Lemmie know. Casting roles for Wild Maroon, an interactive, immersive musical theatre show set for production August 20th through the 22nd, 2021 at the new Scotts Valley Cultural Arts Center. Roles include: Lou - the clever yet accident-prone magical sorceress/witch who has the best of intentions with her wild inventions, but they never seem to work out. Van - the skeptical yet powerful (but not as much as Lou) wizard who was exiled by the Forest's council for being too much a trickster. Phila - one of the council members who tries to help out Lou, although she has grown weary of Lou's shenanigans as well. 5 ensemble members - aerialists, dancers, etc, who can play in a multitude of non-speaking roles. In addition to being interactive and immersive, this show involves create-your-own storyline elements that can alter the outcome. It is highly audience participatory, and there will be professional pay available. We may have access to Arts Council grants for this show, too. The MAH accepted Stellaria into its Frequency Festival (!!), which is from September 16 - 19. I'm not sure which specific date(s) we have, but we're teaming up with Visual Endeavors and Cosmo Chic for this one. There is a lofty budget for this one :) and I'm seeking two more aerialists who are fluent in a multitude of apparatus, and/or comfortable trying out new, innovative apparatus. This is highly audience participatory, and they will be deciding the plot outcome and which apparatus we'll be using. Please let me know if you're available and interested in any of these. Thank you! Jeanette
